Kronos Worldwide, Inc. Announces Price Increases in North America for Titanium Dioxide Products

CRANBURY, N.J., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kronos Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: KRO) announced today price increases effective October 1, 2004, or as permitted by contract, for all Kronos titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment grades sold in North America.
Kronos Worldwide will increase the price for all Kronos rutile products sold in the United States by $0.06 per pound, and in Canada by C$0.08 per pound. Prices for all Kronos anatase products will increase by $0.03 per pound in the United States, and in Canada by C$0.04 per pound. These are new price increases that follow the July 1, 2004 price increases of $0.04 per pound in the United States, and C$0.06 per pound in Canada, which will be fully implemented by October 1, 2004.
These increases reflect the continuing strong worldwide demand for TiO2.
