Kronos Worldwide, Inc. Announces a Price Increase in North America For Titanium Dioxide Products
CRANBURY, N.J., Feb. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kronos Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: KRO) announced today that effective March 15, 2004, or as permitted by contract, prices for all Kronos titanium dioxide pigment grades will increase by 5 cents per pound in the U.S. and in Canada prices will increase by 6 cents per pound ($C).
The price increase follows completing the first quarter 2004 implementation of 3 cents per pound of the October 1, 2003 price increase in the U.S. and 4 cents per pound ($C) in Canada.
The increase reflects strengthened worldwide Ti02 demand as a result of improving economies.
